    Daily check-in time is at 3:30 pm, and check-out is at 11:00 am.

    A valid photo ID is required, along with a credit card or cash deposit of 100 USD per room security deposit. Credit cards are recommended at check-in, not debit cards.

    Our Holo-holo-ku keiki (children's) program is an unsupervised activity open to kids of all ages (must be accompanied by an adult).

    The goal of this program is for kids to learn about Hawaiian culture and traditions in a fun and interactive way. Visit Kawenaokeao, our cultural activities center in the lobby, to learn more.


    Yes. Guests can use the microwave at the Deli Corner 


    No. There are several fitness centers located in the Kā'anapali to Kapalua area (about 5-10 minutes drive away). Additionally, our OUTRIGGER Activities and Experiences desk located in our lobby can provide more information.

    Yes, OUTRIGGER Kāʻanapali Beach Resort has coin-operated washers and dryers on site for registered guests.

    OUTRIGGER Kā’anapali Beach Resort is a pet friendly resort that understands pets are an extension of your family. We are delighted to have you and your dog or cat as our guests.

    No. However, all guest rooms are equipped with a mini-refrigerator, tea/coffee maker, hairdryer and an iron with ironing board for your convenience.

    Our guestroom is not designed nor fitted to accommodate cooking. Except for the coffee maker and refrigerator that the hotel provides, the preparation of food in guestrooms by any cooking appliances is prohibited. This includes, but not limited to, microwaves, hot plates, toaster ovens, rice cookers, combustible, open flame, barbecue grill, burners, heating appliance, or any other items intended for cooking. Open fire, flame, or cooking grills, either charcoal or gas, are not allowed anywhere on resort property.

    No. All of our guest rooms are designated as non-smoking rooms. Smoking is not permitted on the lanai (balcony) area, nor in the room. Smoking inside the room (including the lanai/balcony) will result in a cleaning fee equal to the room’s published rate.

    To ensure compliance with Hawaii State Law, we have designated approved smoking areas that are marked throughout the property.


    Yes, beach towels are provided to registered guests during their stay and are distributed by Aqualani Beach Activities near the pool and beach.

    Yes. OUTRIGGER Kāʻanapali Beach Resort is ADA compliant. ADA accessible rooms, for our guests with special needs, are available upon request. OUTRIGGER Kāʻanapali Beach Resort is also equipped with hearing and sight-impaired equipment which can easily be installed in the guestrooms. A limited supply of risers and seats for the roll-in showers can be set up by the housekeeping department. Pool lifts for travelers with disabilities who want to use the swimming pool are also available.

    Directions from the airport

    Two hours if it's a domestic flight, three hours if it's international. The drive to the airport can take anywhere from 45 minutes to over an hour as it depends on the time of day. If you need additional guidance, please feel free to stop by the front desk or bell desk when you are here.

    Humpback whale season is defined as December through May on Maui; however, whales have been spotted in Hawaiian waters as early as November. Maui's whale season peaks between January and March.

    No, OUTRIGGER Kāʻanapali Beach Resort does not have shuttle services from the airport. Taxi, car share service, and rental car services are available. Most major car rental companies are in operation at Kahului Airport and in the Kā'anapali resort area. Uber and Lyft both operate on Maui. Below are local shuttle companies' contact information.

    Reservation Questions

    Room rates do not include 4.712% Hawaii State General Excise Tax, 10.25% Hawaii Transient Accommodations Tax and and 3% County Transient Tax. Taxes will be added to total charges at check-out. Tax rates are subject to change without notice and any increases will be passed on to the guest.

    Applies to dates of arrival July 27 - December 21 & January 3 - March 31: A reservation must be canceled 7 days or more prior to arrival to avoid a cancellation charge of 2 nights room rate plus taxes. Guests that are no-shows will be charged 2 nights room rate plus taxes.

    Applies to dates of arrival December 22 & January 2: A reservation must be canceled or modified by December 1 to avoid a cancellation charge of 5  nights room rate plus taxes. Guests that are no-shows will be charged an equivalent to a minimum of 5 nights room rate plus taxes.

    Major credit or debit cards are accepted for room deposits.

    If a guest chooses to secure a reservation or place a room deposit upon check-in with a debit card/credit card, the financial institution that issued the card will typically place a hold on funds equal to the total cost of the guest’s entire itinerary including room, tax, mandatory cleaning charge, and other related expenses. The financial institution’s policies and practices govern the manner and timing of the release of any hold on funds. Outrigger is also not responsible for any overdraft charges or other fees that may result from the financial institution’s policies and practices.

    A reservation is guaranteed with a valid credit or debit card. Major credit and debit cards are accepted.

    Full pre-payment of room and tax for entire stay will be charged to a registered guest's credit card within 24 hours of booking. No refunds for cancellations and/or modifications.
