Meimei is a Fijian expression that describes taking care of others. At OUTRIGGER Fiji Beach Resort, parents can be assured that their child will receive exceptional care and attention from our Meimei nannies while on holiday. Youngsters are engaged in fun indoor and outdoor activities customized for their age and interests. They engage with Fijian culture and hospitality through games, arts and crafts, and simple language lessons.
Meimei Nanny Service
- Fully trained, completely professional and uniquely Fijian.
- Available for children 6 months - 12 years
- Meimei nannies are available 9 am - 11 pm daily
- Infants [6 months to 2 years]: 1 meimei per child
- Children [3 to 12 years]: 1 meimei per 2 children
- Maximum of 2 children per meimei
- Introductory session to thoroughly understand your child’s needs
- Daily written brief summarizing your child's daily activities
- Access to Kids club playground, Educational sessions on Fijian culture and enroll in Fijian arts and crafts.
- Complimentary gift pack for our little guest on 4 days package.
- Nanny service must be booked for a minimum 4 hours per booking
- Fee is 160 FJD for 1 day | 310 FJD for 2 days | 450 FJD for 3 days | 580 FJD for 4 days

Terms and conditions
Booking Requirements & Cancellation Policy
- The Marau hourly package requires a minimum booking duration of 4 hours.
- Meimei services are offered as a full-day package of 8 hours.
- A minimum of 24 hours’ cancellation notice is mandatory. Failure to provide notice will result in a charge equivalent to one day, billed the guest’s room account.
Meimei Service Hours:
- 0900-1700
- 1300-2100
- 0900-1300 & 1700-2100
- 1000-1400 & 1800-2200
Overtime Services:
- Overtime for Meimei nanny services is available only by prior arrangement with Management and requires a minimum of 24 hours' advance notice.
- Additional fees apply as per current rates [refer to the separate fees document]
Meal Breaks:
- Meimei attendants are entitled to a 30-minute meal break after every 4 hours of service.
- A replacement attendant will be arranged during such breaks to ensure continuous care.
Child-Minding Ratios:
- Infants [6 months to 2 years, inclusive]: 1 meimei per child
- Children [3 years to 12 years]: 1 meimei per 2 children
- Maximum of 2 children per meimei
Staff Allocation and Service Conditions:
- The Resort reserves the right to reassign Meimei staff without prior notice.
- Meal selections for children must be made by parents; attendants will supervise meal times.
- Meimei attendants are prohibited from taking children outside of hotel premises without prior senior Management approval.
- Guests are responsible for all costs incurred by attendants during off-property excursions.
- An Off-Premises Excursion Form must be fully completed and approved by Management before authorisation.
- Attendants require designated meals and break periods.
Activities and Restrictions:
- Meimei services provide a variety of toys and games for children.
- Children aged 3 years to 12 years may participate in Kids Club activities, subject to registration by a parent upon arrival.
- Attendants are not permitted to take children swimming in the pool or ocean.
- Meimei attendants are not authorised to administer medication or assess medical conditions.
Contingency and Replacement:
- In the event an attendant becomes ill or unable to continue, every effort will be made to provide a replacement.
- If no replacement is available, a full-day refund will be credited to the guest’s room account.
Additional Requirements:
- Contact details for the parents or guardians must be available to Meimei attendants at all times.
