      Energy efficency

      Improving energy efficiency across our properties is central to reducing our environmental footprint and strengthening operational resilience. Our strategy prioritizes efficiency by reducing consumption through system upgrades and smart building technologies. OUTRIGGER is also transitioning to cleaner, renewable sources with solar projects as they become available.

      OUTRIGGER completed 9 renewable energy projects and energy efficiency projects in 2025, with additional projects underway for 2026.

      LED lighting

      OUTRIGGER made progress in 2025 in its transition to LED systems in 2025, which are substantially more efficient than traditional lighting: the US Department of energy states that  show LEDs a good LED bulb can last 3-5 times longer than a CFL and 30 times longer than an incandescent bulb

      Solar energy

      OUTRIGGER Kā‘anapali Beach Resort underwent energy upgrades in 2025, including the activation of solar panels that help reduce the resort and the island’s dependence on fossil fuels. By integrating on‑site renewable generation into daily operations, OUTRIGGER Kā‘anapali Beach Resort lowers its overall energy use profile and contributes to energy independence. This is one of the first of many additional solar projects OUTRIGGER looks to implement in the future.
