As a Beachcomber Original and third-generation photographer, Zak brings deep cultural roots and an authentic connection to Hawai‘i’s surf scene.
In this episode, Zak sits down with Mike Coots, a Kauai native, avid surfer and surf photographer, shark attack survivor and passionate advocate for shark conservation. After surviving a tiger shark attack at age 18, Mike turned his personal story into global impact through his photography and activism, helping shift how the world sees sharks.
