Climb the Koko Crater Railway Trail
One of the more unique hikes in Hawaii, the Koko Crater Trail features abandoned railway ties that lead to an incredible summit at 1,208 feet. Climb the 1,048 railway stairs straight up to the top of Koko Crater for a challenging, but rewarding experience atop the extinct cinder cone volcano where you'll be able to see some of the best views of Oahu, with panoramic scenes of Sandy Beach, Diamond Head, and Makapu'u lighthouse. Adjacent to Hanauma Bay and Nature Preserve, Koko Crater is just ten miles from Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort.
