We have to admit that we're a little bit jealous of the way Myleene Klass looked so good while doing something so good for the planet over the holiday break. Myleene is a British singer, pianist, model and mother of three who recently turned a tropical vacation into an eco-friendly learning experience. She shared snaps on Instagram of her family doing a beach cleanup during their trip to the Maldives. Klass turned the do-gooder event into a family affair by getting her two daughters and newborn son to help, talk about teaching them young!
Doing Good in Paradise
Myleene's family helped with Outrigger’s OZONE conservation initiative, which aims to protect the oceans’ vital eco-system from harm. From beach clean ups above water to coral planting under water, OZONE strives to keep our oceans breathing healthily. The Beach Cleanup Team worked diligently to pick up plastic, polystyrene and more rubbish washed up on the island's beaches from what would otherwise be a pristine island coastline.
Myleene revealed to fans that she and her family had cleared away several bags of full of waste during their Beach Cleanup event and that they enjoyed playing their part in keeping paradise a paradise. Of course, the triple-threat singer, pianist and model also used her time in the Maldives to enjoy some much-deserved relaxation. Myleene and her family used the boat trip out to the island they were tidying to enjoy the wonders of the Indian Ocean sea life by snorkeling. The celebrity family stayed at the luxurious Outrigger Konotta Maldives Beach Resort for Christmas and enjoyed ringing in the New Year. This stunning property is one of the most Instagrammable Maldives hotels.
The Year of the Maldives?
It's not surprising that Myleene and her family decided to enjoy a little rest and relaxation in the Maldives during the holiday break this year—her visit is actually part of a trend among celebs and paradise seekers that's on task to make 2020 the year of the Maldives. This exotic spot where the Arabian Sea folds into the Indian Ocean is famed for its white-sand beaches and extensive reefs. Many of the resorts and attractions here are carved into the natural landscape to create an immersive, unobtrusive experience for guests.
