Executive Chef Salish Naidu oversees the creative kitchens at Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, preparing dishes so varied and plentiful you could dine for days and still be delighted with new discoveries. Try the Bombay Chicken pizza and a Pineapple Flirtini at Sundowner Bar; Massaman Duck Curry and Sizzling Plates of lamb and prawns at Baravi; and Braised Fiji Deep Sea Snapper & Mud Crabs followed by a Chocolate Crepe Suzette flambéed tableside at Iwi Restaurant. Castaway Island, Fiji is pleased to welcome a new executive chef, Markus Nufer. Originally from Zurich, Switzerland, Chef Nufer most recently served as chef de cuisine for the 6-star luxury cruise line Crystal Cruises. After 16 years on the high seas and previous appointments at the Mandarin Oriental in Hawaii and Hong Kong, and Regent Four Seasons Resort in Fiji, Chef Nufer is happy to be back in Fiji where he and family now call home. The culinary team at Castaway Island, Fiji looks forward to sharing new, exciting taste discoveries with our guests!
