Waʻa Kaʻililāʻau

A young boy once dreamed of building a canoe from the tree in his backyard. Years later, with the expertise of canoe builder Charlie Noland, the hosts of OUTRIGGER Kāʻanapali Beach Resort brought his dream to life. The canoe, named Kaʻililāʻau, honors the boy and his vision and greets all guests to this resort.

Wa‘a-Ka‘ililā‘au is featured in the resort’s Holo-Holo-Kū Keiki Adventure Book. This engaging book brings island traditions to life. Resort guests are invited to pick up a copy at the Kawenaokeao Cultural Center. Let the adventure begin
