Hawaiian Wood Bowls Collection at Outrigger Reef
Dan Deluz is a master of the art of bowl turning in Hawaii. His favorite wood to work with is Koa but he often creates beautiful bowls utilizing other local woods such as Milo, Ohia, Kamani, mango and macadamia. Samples of Dan Deluz's master bowl collection is on display in the lobby at Outrigger Reef hotel.

Kaukahi Outrigger Canoe at Outrigger Waikiki
Originally built by Hawaiians in the late 1800's, Kaukahi was used as an all-purpose fishing, surfing and sailing canoe. Kaukahi was named for the "singleness of purpose" felt by Hawaii born canoe builder, Tay Perry as he fully restored it in 1996. When the canoe was discovered on the Big Island, it was ravaged by termites and mistaken for firewood. On May 1, 2001, after a complete restoration by Tay Perry, the Kaukahi was paddled to the shores in front of Outrigger Waikiki. The canoe received a traditional Hawaiian welcome, complete with a Hawaiian blessing, conch shell blowing, kahili bearers, and a 100-foot lei made by guests and friends. Outrigger Waikiki is privileged to have Kaukahi on permanent display in the upper lobby.

Outrigger Catamaran Eco Sail and Snorkel Tour
Your open sea adventure begins with a one-hour high-speed sail off the coast of Waikiki in search of Spinner and Bottlnose Dolphins, seasonal Humpback Whales, and other sea life that inhabit the National Marine Sanctuary. The second hour is devoted to snorkeling amidst coral formations and underwater caverns with an experienced guide. Visit with Green Sea Turtles and colorful Hawaiian reef fish in the protected bay. The Outrigger Catamaran, a sleek, new, 45-foot vessel is Waikiki's fastest and smoothest sailing catamaran, giving you an exciting 90-minutes to view Oahu's southern coast, Spinner and Bottlenose Dolphins off Diamond Head, and Humpback Whales during winter months.
