Ed Case is senior vice president and chief legal officer of Outrigger® Enterprises Group.
Mr. Case joined Outrigger in 2013 after full careers in both the private practice of law and elective office.
He received his Hawai‘i law license in 1981, serving first as law clerk to Hawai'i Supreme Court Chief Justice William Richardson. He later practiced twenty years with Carlsmith Ball and seven years with Bays Lung Rose & Holma, both in Honolulu and both of which firms he also served as managing attorney. His practice focused on commercial, financial and real estate law throughout Hawai'i and the Asia-Pacific.
Mr. Case served Hawai‘i as a member of the U. S. House of Representatives from 2002 to 2007, following earlier service as a Hawai‘i State Representative from 1994 to 2002. He previously worked in Washington, D.C., as legislative assistant to U. S. Congressman/Senator Spark Matsunaga of Hawai'i.
Mr. Case, a native of the Island of Hawai'i, received his J.D. degree from the University of California/Hastings College of Law and his B.A. degree from Williams College in Massachusetts. He has served as adjunct professor at Hawai‘i Pacific University, as a member of the U. S. Department of Commerce's Hawai‘i District Export Council, as a continuing legal education instructor, as a commentator on public issues and in other community roles.
